The annual village show for Hanley Swan and Hanley Castle took place on Saturday 23 August at Hanley Swan Village Hall.
Robert and I set up our usual publicity stand in the car boot area. The competition classes for flowers, vegetables, fruit, cakes, preserves and crafts were in the hall while outside were stalls selling produce and plants. A brass band supplied the music and volunteers served drinks and a considerable amount of cake. We spoke to a variety of people, offered advice and handed out information leaflets.
Our next two events are the Family History Fair at the Gloucestershire Heritage Hub on Saturday 6 September and Malvern Wells Fete on Sunday 7 September.
