Would you like to find your Worcestershire ancestors? Here we have provided some ideas of where to start that search.

Worcestershire Baptisms, Marriages and Burials.

Our Society has indexed all the baptisms back from 1839 to 1754 and we are currently indexing the earlier records. In addition a few later baptisms have also been indexed. We are also indexing many marriage and burial records.  All these records can be searched on line free of charge in the Worcestershire Record Office. They are also available on line If you have a Gold or Diamond subscription (or by using the Pay-as-you-go facility) at www.thegenealogist.co.uk  website. You can also access them at www.fhs-online.co.uk for a small annual charge. Members of our Society have free access to these records. The individual annual subscription to our Society is £11. As the project proceeds we are continually adding data so regular checks are recommended.

The main centre for original records in Worcestershire is at The Hive in Worcester.  Here you can view microfiche, browse books and look at original documents. The Hive is open every day but access to original records is restricted to weekdays, generally between 10.30am and 4pm. The hours do vary, so please check their website before you go.
