Powick Hospital in World War I
06/03/2024 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Speaker: Sarah Dentith
Sarah will present the results of her research on the patients at Powick Hospital during the First World War, focusing on local soldiers returning to the area after active service and civilians impacted by the war in some way.
This research formed part of Sarah’s masters degree in local history from the University of Birmingham. Sarah works at The Hive as a library customer advisor and as an archive assistant with Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service. She has previously worked as a volunteer and researcher for the George Marshall Medical Museum and project officer for The Infirmary Museum, both in Worcester.
Come along and learn about a subject not widely known.
Note this is a change from the published programme.
Sarah’s talk will be preceded by a brief introduction to parish registers by Paul Millington.
At the Eden Centre and online.
