Apphia, Lady Lyttleton

5 March @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Speaker: Faith Renger

Faith Renger has written and lectured on various aspects of Malvern’s history and was curator of Malvern Museum for many years. In this talk she looks at the long and extraordinary life of Apphia Witts (1743-1840), who became Apphia Peach and then Apphia, Lady Lyttelton. She was a spirited young woman by all accounts and acquired wealth and a title through an unhappy marriage. Apphia generously supported numerous local good causes in Malvern, and was especially concerned for the young people of the area. The townspeople owed much to her benevolence.

Booklets on Apphia, Lady Lyttelton will be available to buy from Faith at £3 each. Please bring the right change with you.

At the Eden Centre and online.
