Birmingham’s Back-to-Backs: a talk by Pam and David Humphries

Our Christmas meeting will take the form of a panel in the form of Gardeners' Question Time. It will be available to members in the hall only (i.e. no Zoom). If you have questions you would like answered, please submit them in advance to our chairman.  

Speaker: Linda Hammond. Linda will guide us through the process of researching criminal children.

Speaker: Jasmine Kee.
Jasmine will give a talk on art history in general, covering the different styles, movements and time-periods associated with painting, drawing and sculpture. She will also explore J M W Turner's connection to Worcestershire and Paul Nash's landscapes of the Malvern hills.

Speaker: Sarah Denith. Talking about the local psychiatric hospital opened in 1847 and closed in 1989

Speaker: Phil Bullock. He will talk about Operation Canonbury and his family's involvement in it.

Speaker: Rhys Griffith. He will guide us and test our skills at reading old handwriting.

Speaker: Yvonne Chapman. Learn about 18/19th century attitudes to babies and bastards in the parish of Allensmore.
