On Saturday 1 November Robert and I took a table at Guarlford Charity Day, organised to allow local charities and special interest groups to show off what they do and raise funds. Also joining us in Guarlford Village Hall were Guarlford Women’s Institute, Tools for Self Reliance, So XSighted Morris (visually impaired Morris dancing group based in Malvern), the Malvern Hills Foodbank, South Worcestershire Archaeological Group, Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, Community Action Malvern & District and Worcester Lions Club. We had a pleasant day chatting to visitors about their family history and connections to the area and also managed to talk to the other groups about their work.
Thanks are due to Gill Hollick and Rosemary McCulloch for the invitation to participate.
