Visits

The National ArchivesThe Society arranges visits for our members and guests to places of general genealogical or historic interest like archives, record offices and museums. As an example each year we go to The National Archives (TNA) at Kew  in West London. The National Archives hold 11 million documents and records going back over 1,000 years of history. We usually arrange our visits in May and September enabling us to take anyone who would like to go to Kew Gardens at a suitable time of the year. We make an extra stop at the gates of the Gardens on our way to TNA.

We also arrange entry tickets for  ‘Who Do You Think You Are Live?’ show at The NEC Birmingham which is the worlds leading family history event. This event which is presently held in the West Midlands, quite close to the Malvern area brings together genealogy experts, workshops, specialist exhibitors and celebrities from the television series. This enables visitors to keep up to date with the latest advances in family history as well as learning about the best ways of carrying out their own research.

For those visits where we arrange a coach we pick up our guests at Pickersleigh Road, Malvern and Croft Road, Worcester, as both have ample car parking spaces.

We are always looking for ideas for future visits, so please let us know if you have any suggestions. We can not guarantee to go but we will consider them.

Here is a list of the visits we have organised at present.
